My first blog post!

So here it is, my first ever blog post! Basically what I want to share with you all are regular updates on fashion, beauty and lifestyle! So, I'm thinking reviews, outfit of the days, recent purchases, hauls, tutorials, eating out, places I visit, events and my thoughts in general!

To start it all off I have a mini MAC haul and review! I have been searching for the perfect foundation that has a matte full coverage that doesn't feel too heavy on my face (a lot to ask for I know) so I started off with high street brands such as Rimmel, Revlon and Maybelline, but nothing worked and they would either dry out my skin or make it more oily. After discovering a love for MAC products when I purchased Rubywoo lipstick I started to read reviews on their foundation range, overall they were helpful and most were positive so I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did! I highly recommend this foundation to anyone wanting full coverage with a matte finish! The colour is an exact match, it feels great on my skin and when set with powder it lasts all day! I always use moisturiser under my foundation as I feel that it helps with application and I think without it this foundation may not have applied as smoothly as it did.

I also picked up some MAC lipstick in Ladydanger and Rebel. Ladydanger has been on my wish list ever since I purchased Rubywoo and fell in love with the range of matte lipsticks and I'm so glad I finally got it as its such a gorgeous colour with a really matte finish which stays put! Rebel however was an unusual choice for me as I don't usually experiment with darker shades, but I really wanted to give it a go. So along with Rebel I got a lipliner in Currant which one of the make-up artist recommended as it brings out the more purple berry tones in the lipstick.

As you can see from the swatches, Rebel isn't as dark as it looks and is a very nice deep purple, but the lipliner is very useful as it stops the lipstick from bleeding which is essential with a bright shade and it makes it last a lot longer! So overall I'm really happy with everything that I picked up on my mini MAC haul and I hope you enjoyed my first post!

  1. Mac ladydanger looks like such a gorgeous colour! I've never bought a mac product before but I definitely think they'd be worth the investment :) x
